When packing a computer and the original box is not available, use a corrugated cardboard box instead. Place padding on the bottom. Bubble wrap around unit. Remember that monitors can easily scratch. Fill empty spaces with soft materials or styrofoam peanuts. It has to be packed upright and tight it doesn’t move around. Once everything is secured, label your box fragile.

Pack other computer equipment, such as printers and scanners, the same way. None of the items should move during transit. It’s important to remove ink cartridges before you pack printers.
